It's the place where my prediction from the sixties finally came true: "In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes." I'm bored with that line. I never use it anymore. My new line is, "In fifteen minutes everybody will be famous." - Andy Warhol (from Andy Warhol's Exposures (1979) "Studio 54")

The exhibition In fifteen minutes everybody will be famous brings together 22 international artists whose work refers either to Warhol’s signature Pop style, his “Art as Business” ethos, or to the infamous motifs and events that characterized his controversial career.

{CTS} creative thriftshop is proud to announce that our artist Jeremy Dean will be participating in Stoked Mentoring's annual auction where he will create a special edition model of one of his infamous Back to the Futurama vehicles.

On May 19th, 2010, Stoked Mentoring will hold its fourth annual Stoked on Spring event in Meat packing’s hottest gallery, MILK Gallery. The event will include both a silent and live auction, featuring cutting edge artwork and other exciting auction packages! With passed hors d ‘oeuvres, open bar, and great music, it will continue to be one of the most talked about events of the year.

The event is from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM and will raise funds for Stoked Mentoring’s programs. Tickets are $75, and $100 at the door. There is a VIP ticket available for $125, which includes admission to a pre-event champagne reception and artwork preview from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

{CTS} creative thriftshop is proud is extremely proud to have it's artist Victoria Campillo donate two wonderful work's from her Intimacy Series to benefit the amazing women of the Lotus House in Miami.

For the sixth year in a row, the Martin Z. Margulies Foundation and Sundari Foundation have co-sponsored an extraordinary art event – this year called Heart Happening - at the Margulies Art Warehouse in Miami, with all proceeds benefiting the Lotus House serving women and children in need.

This year, with virtually every form of artistic medium represented, the 2010 Heart Happening will be an art “happening” like no other, including lively performance art, a live auction by Sotheby’s and silent auction, and chef’s tastings from Miami’s finest, filling the entire 45,000 ft warehouse and spilling out onto the street – both literally and figuratively – where so many of our homeless are forced to survive if we do not provide the support, tools and resources needed to build a better way of life.
